Introductory Insight

These things I love.
To compose them, create them, and savor them.
These things- the following culinary experiments of mine that I have made over the past year or so- you will see much of, hopefully with continual improvement and passion and expertise of each.

Breakfast. Scones, waffles, pancakes, eggs, oatmeal. All with coffee of course.

Cakes, sweet treats, and parties.

It's my hope that you'll walk through this joyful experience with me. I'm on the hunt for genuine thriving, the fight for joy, the delight in relationships. As I relish life, with its passions, glorious soirees, and late-night cravings for waffles, I long that you'd do likewise. You'll hear much about my Ella Fitzgerald Pandora station, pines for Italy or nostalgia for Scotland, the rambling but ever-continuing dreams shared with a friend, sporadic weekend explorations, and the never-failing ache for my kin.

You'll find that the most gripping part of our time together is always food... the revival of a former, youthful flavor or the embrace of a new comfort. And of course, combinations of the two. Constant wavering between indulgence and wellness, but satisfaction nevertheless. For us, it's all about the food. It's a gift, a pleasure, a delight. Not just a mechanism for energy, though sometimes I must settle for this. It leaves me feeling thankful and evermore inspired, curious about the next novelty or creation.
And it's glimpses of this that you will see.

I'm not a glamorous writer or the most ingenious photographer. But my joy heightens when I cook & bake, especially when I am privileged to share it with others, and even more specifically when I get to surprise a dear friend with a festivity full of mini cakes and cookies.

I think we often tend to escape reality when exploring creativity through the veil of strangers. This happens because we're living theircreativity, their reality. Proper joy comes when we begin to grasp our peaks and our gifts, often triggered through or by others, and strangely similar, but then again deeply personal. That's what you'll see here... My creative reality. We may invent in like manner, but there's a difference. And I'm not sure what that is, but do peek into it, for your own freedom, the very thing I'm touring here and relentlessly growing in.

Cheers!
